Bipolar Monster Social/Support Site for Parents of Kids With Mental Illness
Welcome!

Who is supporting YOU while you support your child?

Created by a parent for parents!  This is the ONLY social networking site dedicated to parents struggling with children (any age) with Bipolar Disorder or other mental illness symptoms!

Parents...do you have a child diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, or another disorder?  Or do you have a child who is exhibiting symptoms of mental illness, including depression, anxiety, mania, anger, rage, violence, obsessive compulsive or addictive behavior, problems with concentration or racing thoughts? Does your child have mood swings that bipolar monster006.jpgyou know are not "normal"?  Does his or her personality change from cooperative and respectful, to someone you just don't recognize?

You might be familiar with the "Bipolar Monster", then!  The "one" who takes over your child's mind, body, and even soul. The "one" who can change your child from your precious son or daughter you know and love, to someone you think you don't even like (let's be honest).

This is a safe place for parents to connect. A place to come for help and advice--an online support group.

A place to share your own stories of frustration and pain, along with your triumphs and blessings.

This is a place to learn how to TAME the Bipolar Monster's effect on YOU!

This is not a place to get help for your child (there are plenty of resources for that), but a place to get help for YOU, as you struggle to help your child.

You are not alone!
It is so hard to talk to friends or even extended family (sometimes even immediate family) about our child's mental illness.  They may see his or her behavior, and assume our child is just out of control, undisciplined, or just plain spoiled.  Which, essentially, puts the blame on us, doesn't it?!  We go through enough already, we don't need the false guilt piled on top of everything else.

Our friends who know us well, may empathize, listen to us, and sincerely care about us and our child, but that's about as far as it will go.  Many people just do not know anything about mental illness. They are unable to tell us "I know just how you feel!"

That's where the Bipolar Monster Social Networking and Support Site comes in!  ALL the members of the site will be parents with a child with symptoms similar to those your child has.  When you realize there really ARE others who understand what you are going through, or actually are battling the SAME issues, all of a sudden you will not feel so alone!  What a great feeling that is!

With a membership at Bipolar Monster, you will always have a place to go to vent, to cry, to get advice and support, be encouraged, and just as important--to support and encourage someone else.  That is my mission here...to give you support, encouragement, and hope!

You are not alone!

Conquering Stress

Is this what your child's life looks like?  I don't know about you, but I have been on this roller coaster ride for years!  I feel that if I am able to talk about my struggles with someone who actually has been through it before, that I can get off of the roller coaster for just a little while and take a rest from all my son's ups and downs.  The heavy weight on my shoulders can come off, and it feels as though a burden has been lifted.

Do you have someone who can support you and is able to pull you off that roller coaster for awhile, so you can keep your own sanity?

If not, come register and be a part of the Bipolar Monster family!  We can help take some of the burden off of you, and lighten your load!

Your $17 will go toward keeping this site running and helping parents get the support they need.  You will also be able to download and read the account of one family's experience in raising a child with Bipolar Disorder.

I haven't found many websites dedicated to just parents of children with a mental illness.  This is the reason I have made this website, and wrote the Bipolar Monster eBook.  To help parents who are maybe not sure what their child is experiencing emotionally.  If you suspect your child may have symptoms of Bipolar and you would like to read about a specific case of childhood Bipolar, and get ideas on how this mom survives, then...download the eBook now.
